Jeanne Reynolds' Studio

901-336-3122

About the School
Jeanne Reynolds’ Studio offers an enjoyable and exciting setting for children, teens and adults with a desire to create and learn about art. Jeanne’s school provides quality education and resources in an environment unique in Memphis. A contemporary version of a traditional Art Academy, her school is set in a professional artist’s studio. Smaller classes allow students plenty of one-on-one instruction and encourage development of personal style. Art History is learned in the studio and on field trips to museums and galleries.

About the Artist
Jeanne enjoys a multifaceted career as an artist and teacher. She has been working with children since the age of twelve, passing on skills that she learned at the Schuler School of Fine Art in Baltimore, Maryland. She started her own school in 1995 upon requests from interested individuals. She also teaches an art enrichment program at Bornblum Solomon Schechter and has taught after school at St. Mary’s and Grace St. Luke’s Episcopal School as well as Art Camp at the Memphis College of Art.
Jeanne has a BFA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a MFA from the University of Memphis. Her colorful art has been widely exhibited as well as collected by many corporations and individuals. You may recall her dynamic Cooper Young Festival poster from 2002 or her 1993 Memphis in May poster honoring Russia.

Back by popular demand, Jeanne’s Summer Art Program encourages children and teens to have fun while being challenged with projects that improve their skills, stretch the imagination and enhance their self-expression. In this hands-on approach to art, students are invited to develop their own style while experimenting with a variety of techniques and subjects. Art history and art from other cultures will also be explored. Lots of individual attention for all levels. Limited enrollment.
